Information for researchers
This section of the website is dedicated to information that could be of use to researchers. Here, you can find our more about funding opportunities available to researchers in Wales.
You'll also find more information about the Translational Research Committee (TReC) is a pool of expertise available to the South Wales cancer research community on the 'bench-to-bedside' therapeutic pipeline. Its purpose is to increase the rate of translation of new therapeutic approaches (either with new treatments, new combinations or repurposed treatments) from the lab to phase I trials. It is accessible to all who hope to see their work go forward into a new clinical approach.
We also support five multidisciplinary research groups (MDRGs) which encourage cross discipline discussion and to facilitate research collaborations. The five groups focus individually on breast, colorectal, prostate, lung and brain cancer research and each group is chaired jointly by a clinician and a scientist.
