Tenovus Cancer Care brings practical advice, emotional support and treatment to where it matters most; the heart of the community.

 

Our new Research Strategy Grants invites applicants to apply for identified priority themes necessary to advance the services and activity provision of Tenovus Cancer Care.

 

The Tenovus Cancer Care research strategy grants are open to those where the lead applicant is based in Wales. 

 

Projects must meet at least one of the priority areas of Tenovus Cancer Care.

 

We welcome applications for projects up to a maximum of £60,000 in total, for funding for up to 2 years.

We fund research that highlights or meets the needs of cancer patients and their families, including cancer prevention research.

 

Our iGrants represent innovation, projects that implement great ideas, involve patients and public, influence policy and practice, and invest in the future.

 

iGrants are open to all, where the lead applicant is based in Wales. We welcome applications for projects of all sizes up to a maximum of £30,000 for up to 24 months.

PhD Studentships

Funding Description

We currently fund PhD studentships in cancer research, both in the laboratory and in the social sciences.

 

We look for projects that address the issues faced by people affected by cancer today, and the best methods of preventing and treating cancer in the future. 

 

Tenovus Cancer Care PhD Studentships are open to any academic institution based in Wales.

 

They will be for a period of up to four years at a maximum of £30,000 per annum for laboratory based projects, and £20,000 per annum for non-laboratory projects. Please note funding covers directly incurred costs but not directly allocated costs or indirect costs.

Funding Description

The Knowledge Economy Skills Scholarships (KESS) is a European Convergence programme offering collaborative research projects linked with a local company partner supported by European Social Funding across Wales.

 

As an eligible partner Tenovus Cancer Care are keen to be an active partner on available PhD studentships, and will prioritise projects which will help them meet their charity aims and support their work.
